First Entry

Hola everyone! I'm starting this post 5 months before our planned move to Ecuador. It is the beginning of September and our lives have been a whirlwind since the beginning of the year. We started out early in the year getting our house ready to sell. After about 4 months of spending every weekend and many weeknights cleaning, fixing and upgrading things around the house we put it on the market in May. Things went well and we were able to sell the house by early June. We rented back for a month and finally moved out of our house on August 5th. Here's a photo of us on the front doorstep of our house the day we moved out. The proud non-owners!

Now we are living an apartment. Our lease runs out on February 5th and our plans are to move to Ecuador sometime around that date. We're spending our time getting organized and deciding what to take to Ecuador and what to leave behind.
